Highfield, Avenue and Boldrewood campuses, NOCS and Southampton General Hospital are all based in and around Southampton. Our School of Art is located in Winchester and our new Malaysian Campus in EduCity@Iskandar.
Our main campus, Highfield, caters for most of our academic courses and incorporates state-of-the-art research and teaching facilities, while being home to Union Southampton and the Jubilee Sports Centre. Highfield is a 10-minute walk from the vibrant Southampton area of Portswood, with its wide range of shops, cafés and restaurants, plus a large superstore.
Just a few minutes’ walk from Highfield on the edge of Southampton Common is our humanities campus. Avenue has its own library, lecture theatres and catering facilities plus a state-of-the-art £3m Archaeology building. It is also home to the Centre for Language Study.
Our new £122 million Boldrewood Innovation Campus unites the University and Lloyd's Register, in a unique partnership focusing on marine engineering and engineering sciences.
Our waterfront campus, the National Oceanography Centre Southampton (NOCS), is one of the world’s leading research centres for the study of ocean and earth sciences, with unique facilities including three research vessels. The extensive library resources make it a national resource for the entire UK science community.
One of the UK’s leading teaching hospitals, Southampton General Hospital is the base for the study of medicine. A large number of specialist services are based here, from neurosciences and oncology to pathology and cardiology.
Winchester School of Art is based 12 miles (20 kilometres) north of Southampton in the historic city of Winchester. Its purpose-designed buildings include specialist art and design studios, workshops, a library with special collections and Students’ Union facilities.
Set within EduCity@Iskandar, in Nusajaya, our University of Southampton Malaysia Campus offers split degrees in astronautics and aeronautics, mechanical engineering, and electronics and electrical engineering, as well as the Engineering Foundation Year.
