WSA – leading in art and design

Winchester School of Art is one of the UK’s leading art and design institutions with a history going back almost 150 years.

We offer some of the most flexible and dynamic art and design degrees in the UK today, with a focus on the quality of creative ideas and their relevance in the world today. Employability is central to all of our programmes.

WSA is an international centre for ideas, meeting the challenges of the creative future using a global outlook and supported by state-of-the-art facilities and internationally respected staff.

Based in picturesque Winchester, our purpose-built campus is close to open countryside, a nature reserve and recreation grounds. WSA has its own Students' Union facilities, a cafe and arts supplies shop.

Our annual undergraduate and postgraduate degree shows see the whole campus transformed into one large exhibition celebrating the excellence and diversity of our students' work.

Fine Art

Become part of a close-knit artistic community and realise ambitious ideas at Winchester School of Art. With your own individual studio space, explore painting, printmaking, sculpture, new media and more using our superb facilities.

A unique feature of BA Fine Art is the Shared Drive project, which twice a year brings together all Fine Art students across all year groups to work on ambitious collaborative projects. Working as part of a collective will help you to discover new strengths and develop your professional abilities. Career-focused modules, talks by visiting artists, and study visits to exhibitions in London and elsewhere help you prepare for your future career. Our graduates have gone on to succeed in a diverse range of fields including film and music, publishing, museums and galleries.

Winchester School of Art Library

Winchester School of Art Library houses an extensive art and design collection, study spaces, pc workstations and video and dvd viewing facilities.
